What makes good book sales?

Ah, the elusive Eldorado. Everyone (almost) wants to write a book, but how do you sell it when you've written it? What do you write about? How do you publish it? Do you create a physical book or an ebook? These are all good questions and worth further investigation. Are we going to answer them here? Heck no! What did you expect?
