What is art? Expressionism or Crap?

Art invokes all kinds of emotions in people from love to anger. It's no wonder then, that a lot of articles on art have been written about the subject and how art is defined.

Here are a couple of different forms of art all with their backers and critics.

Crafts and Hobbies which includes Scrapbooking, sewing, woodwork, origami, jewelry making, crochet, embroidery, stamp and coin collecting, candle making and genealogy. Is this art?

Fashion and Style including clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, eyewear, swimwear etcetera, Surely this is not art?

Photography including Digital cameras, video, still photography, landscapes, portraits and so on. Yeah, I really like photography so in my mind, this is definitely Art.

Poetry including
contemporary poetry and traditional styles... Sorry, not a fan of poetry unless it's in lyrics for a song. But spoken poetry. Nope, not my cup of tea.
